What is a Migraine?

Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause multiple symptoms, along with an intense, severe headache. The exact cause of migraine is unknown, but scientists believe it is a combination of genetics and environmental factors.

Migraines can be triggered by various factors, such as:

  • Hormonal changes in women
  • Drink and food
  • Emotional or physical stress
  • Sensory stimulation

Migraines can be accompanied by other symptoms (auras), such as:

  • Visual or auditory phenomena
  • Tingling sensation
  • Weakness or numbness
  • Involuntary movement
